Ed Shultz is at it again!

MSNBC's Ed Schultz: "The mainstream media, I believe, wants ObamaCare to fail. They look for every negative number they can find. They're afraid to do a positive story because they're afraid that somebody might not watch. The media is just cherry-picking the bad facts that are out there, repeating them over and over again, and in many cases, they're making stuff up."

I usually can't stand Ed Schultz but this is funny.  Blaming the mainstream media, really Ed?  This is the same group that helped Obama into office.  The same group that ignored all the warts and stuff on Obama.

I believe what Ed is afraid of is the rats are leaving the sinking ship.  Democrats are distancing themselves from Obama and dear old Ed can't believe it.

Maybe a good thing, but seems to me that the mainstream media is becoming irrelevant.  That's not really a bad thing.

What ya think?

Some Clinton Love

I am not a big fan of Salon or Camille Paglia but in a recent interview she threw out some great zingers.

"As a registered Democrat, I am praying for a credible presidential candidate to emerge from the younger tier of politicians in their late 40s. A governor with executive experience would be ideal. It’s time to put my baby-boom generation out to pasture! We’ve had our day and managed to muck up a hell of a lot. It remains baffling how anyone would think that Hillary Clinton (born the same year as me) is our party’s best chance. She has more sooty baggage than a 90-car freight train. And what exactly has she ever accomplished — beyond bullishly covering for her philandering husband? She’s certainly busy, busy and ever on the move — with the tunnel-vision workaholism of someone trying to blot out uncomfortable private thoughts."

Or this:

"As far as I’m concerned, Hillary disqualified herself for the presidency in that fist-pounding moment at a congressional hearing when she said, “What difference does it make what we knew and when we knew it, Senator?” Democrats have got to shake off the Clinton albatross and find new blood."

Frustrations

So, I spent several hours today looking for a missing renewal credit card for the spousal unit.  Turns out the bank sent to the old address.  So, apparently, if you have a joint account with credit cards, each credit card owner must change the address.  The primary account holder address changes don't count.  WTF!!!

Bad thing:  I spent several hours looking for the non-existent card.

Good thing:  I found a bunch of stuff that I had not seen since the move.

Bad thing:  Now I have to clean up.  Bummer!

Helping Syria?

The National Command Authority just made a HUGE mistake.  By providing weapons support to the rebels we have essentially declared war on Syria.  A couple of points to consider:

Do we know who the rebels really are?
Who are the rebels aligned with?

Without knowing the answers to the above we are taking a huge risk.  The secondary and tertiary effects are going to come back to haunt us, you heard it here first.

Obama is crazy to undertake this effort.  McCain is just too old to see the big picture.

Unless we are ready to employ the full military violence to affect a regime change, we should withhold all support.  After all it's thier problem.

NRA Fears Coming True

Once and a while, something you believe will happen will happen, In this case, it didn't but it came real close. In another effort to restriction assault weapons, whatever that is, Washington state lawmakers tried to include an annual visit by the local Sheriff to inspect your assault weapons.

Of coures, everyone said it was a mistake. Yea, I believe that. So, the NRA may not be as paranoid as everyone thinks.

We need to keep watching lawmakers to ensure they don't tramble our right any more.

Reagan

In his 1980 presidential campaign, Reagan famously asked the American people, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" He added, "A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his." (Substitute Obama for Carter and, in the inimitable words of Yogi Berra, "It's déjà vu all over again.")

President's Day

While out eating lunch recently, I overheard a conversation between a mother and her young son. "What is tomorrow?" she asked him. "It's President's Day," the boy replied "What does that mean?" she asked. The boy paused thoughtfully for a moment, and responded, "President's Day is when Obama steps out of the White House and if he sees his shadow, we have 4 more years of unemployment and stupidity." I almost snorted my iced tea. - Anonymous
